When the government
Is criminals and thugs
Who pillage coffers
Imprison the just
Steal from the power
Criminalize the lawful
And promote the liars, thieves
And murderers?
What is an honest thinker
To think
When journalists are jailed
For writing truth
While sycophants on the TV
Speak lies with honest faces?
What is a patriot to do
When everyone he knows
IS but a slave to callous hordes
What is a man to do?
To work for them?
To make them rich? Off his blood and sweat?
Or throw them from the shoulders
Letting atlas shrug.
